City and Colour along with Metric, Jimmy Eat World, Serena Ryder and Yukon Blonde, will take over The Commons @ Butler’s Barracks National Historic Site in Niagara-On-The-Lake on Saturday, June 29th. This will be City and Colour’s first performance in the Niagara Region since the release of his debut album, 7 years ago. Tickets for this all ages event go on sale this Friday, March 1st at 10am.  Gates will open at 2:30pm, day of event.

Fans should also note that City and Colour will be offering a pre-sale exclusive at cityandcolour.ca beginning Tuesday, February 26th until Thursday, February 28th. Metric – With 500,000 records sold, Metric released their fifth studio record, Synthetica, to rave reviews in 2012.  Sonically futuristic yet organic, this album sounds like the culmination of all the music the band has made in their 10 years together. First single “Youth Without Youth” examines the fraying social state with a bristling energy and a driving beat. “Breathing Underwater” and “Speed the Collapse” both deliver on the classic METRIC chorus of soaring melancholy, while the lyrics for “Lost Kitten” and “Clone” call out some bad behavior and the consequences. Jimmy Eat World – Jimmy Eat World has released seven studio albums since 1994.  Their breakthrough happened in 2001 with the release of the album Bleed American and their single, The Middle.  The RIAA certified Bleed American platinum.  The band’s sixth album, Chase This Light (2007) became the group’s highest charting album, peaking at number five on the Billboard 200.  Jimmy Eat World released Invented in September of 2010 on Interscope Records.  A new record is expected this year. www.jimmyeatworld.com

Yukon Blonde - Favourites of the festival scene this year, Yukon Blonde, released   Tiger Talk in 2012, gaining more and more fans with songs like Stairway and My Girl.   The band has toured extensively in North America, making stops at several festivals including SXSW and NXNE.  Yukon Blonde was named one of the “10 Canadian bands destined to break in 2010” by the CBC.  www.yukonblonde.com
