Steve Vai, American guitar virtuoso, vocalist, songwriter, and producer, has showcased his talents over the years via an outstanding career in which he has been associated with some of the biggest and definitely the most interesting names in rock music.  Guitar lessons from Joe Satriani got the ball rolling, and Vai went on to play with the one and only Frank Zappa.  From there he replaced Yngwie Malmsteen as lead guitarist in Graham Bonnet's Alcatrazz, and later teamed with David Lee Roth for the Eat ‘Em and Smile and Skyscraper albums.  He’s played with ex-Sex Pistols John Lydon's Public Image Ltd, and did time with Whitesnake as well as Alice Cooper.  He even played demon Jack Butler in the 1986 movie Crossroads, engaging lead actor Ralph Macchio in an unforgettable guitar duel for which Vai composed the music.
